Mr. Macdonald has over 30 plus years of strong, diverse experience in health, life, disability insurance, managed care, self-funded plans and reinsurance. During the 30 plus years, 17 years was dedicated primary to developing start-up and/or stressed companies’ infrastructure, negotiating with strategic partners and developing a marketing strategy to gain greater market share.
In 2003 Mr. Macdonald established a consulting firm with primary focus on employee benefit programs. His emphasis is evaluating employee benefit plans, products, services and technology issues. Through long-term business relationships, DTM Enterprises, Inc. has provided pharmacy benefit management programs, worksite and voluntary products, and payroll/debit card programs to his customers.
Prior to starting DTM Enterprises, Inc. Mr. Macdonald held the position of Chief Operations Officer and Compliance Officer for Employers Life Insurance Corporation. Mr. Macdonald successfully re-domesticated an insurance company, establishing administrative policies and procedures, establishing compliance procedures to meet the various regulatory statutes and implementing a marketing strategy. During his tenure with Employers Life Insurance Corporation Mr. Macdonald was responsible for developing a sales and marketing plan to increase revenue from $4 million to $28 million from March 2001 to December 2002.
