Abra HRMS Security

Abra has an extensive and flexible security system to help protect your data by limiting access to individual users.  Access can be granted or denied at many levels.  Entire Products, individual Panels and groups of employee records are just three examples of the many possibilities available to you. 

Security is set up and maintained in System Rules.  There are 3 types:

• Group Security is designed to mimic the Activity Center hierarchy (in addition to a first level access to individual Employers).  You can grant or deny access to Employers, Products, Activities and Steps by clicking the Modify button under the area to be changed.
• User Security is used to create User Login IDs with passwords, and to assign the user to a Security Group.
• Abra Data Security uses a numeric code assigned to individual fields which is compared to the access code for the Security Group.

The system administrator (usually logged in as MASTER) is generally the individual who designs and maintains the system security.  Keep in mind that the user MASTER and the Security Group MASTER cannot be deleted or altered in any way.  The system is designed so that MASTER has access to everything and has all capabilities within the system.
