Dresser & Associates Sponsors Business Tax Credit Seminars To Help Customers Minimize Tax Burdens and Save Money

Monday, July 20, 2009

Clearwater, Florida - July 20, 2009 - Dresser & Associates, the country's leading Sage Abra HRMS (Human Resource Management System) solution provider, is offering Tax Credit seminars to its business clients and other interested parties. The seminars, to be held in late July and early August in Atlanta and Clearwater, will provide attendees with current, accurate, and pertinent information on the various state and federal tax credits and incentives currently available. These tax credits and incentives can add directly to a company's bottom line profit, of special importance in today's economic climate.

"It's often difficult for businesses to stay on top of the changing tax incentive landscape, and there is a significant savings potential involved. The goal of these seminars is not only to educate and inform, but to show employers specifically how they can take advantage of these tax incentives to save their company money," said Mark Dresser, president of Dresser & Associates. "The vast majority of businesses we work with will gain some relief from the many state and federal tax credits and incentives. Many of them are retroactive for as long as three years."

The seminars are co-sponsored by Medcom, a leading employee benefit administrator and McMillan & Associates, an organization specializing in tax issues. Topics to be covered include:

  • Retroactive tax credits, often resulting in a refund.
  • Training tax credit and training grants that allow a company to recover up to half of all of their training costs, including wages paid for qualified training.
  • Hiring credits from $2400-$9000 per employee.
  • New tax credits for 2008-2009, several of which can be used against employee withholding.
  • TARP I & TARP II stimulus bills increased 11 business incentives.
  • State & Federal location credits up to $3000/employee/year.

The first seminar will be held in Atlanta, GA on July 31, 2009. A second seminar will be held in Clearwater, FL on August 4, 2009. Those interested in detailed information on location and timing, or wish to register may contact Lisa at Dresser & Associates at (866) 885-7212.
