Since 1868, Webster Five Cent Savings Bank, has provided vital banking services to the community of Webster, Mass. It currently operates eight branches in the Central Massachusetts area. Webster Five, for example, was one of the first local banks to offer totally free checking and has led the way with online banking and enhanced technology, all to make banking easier.

Challenges

Before purchasing Abra Suite from Dresser & Associates in December of 1996, Webster was relying completely on manual human resources and a DOS-based payroll system with limited reporting capabilities. Manual systems are prone to errors and take up valuable employee time. They decided they needed to implement and automated HRMS system to increase accuracy and productivity.

Solution

Abra has improved the productivity with powerful reporting capabilities, achieved superior control and security of employee data and gained ability to automate performance review processes. It used to take Webster weeks to gather information and import it into a spreadsheet to produce an EEO report now with Abra suite it just takes a few minutes. Webster also enjoys the customer service and support they receive through Sage and Dresser, providing them with everything they need to be efficient and productive with their software.
