Mease Manor is a large retirement living facility serving Dunedin, Florida and the surrounding areas. "Five or six years ago, we found Dresser & Associates and we're glad we did," says Maria Arruda, finance office manager for Mease Manor. In-House Payroll Saves Money, Boosts Service
Mease Manor appreciates the efficiency and control associated with performing payroll in house using the Sage Abra Payroll module. "We find that we have the best solution available for the money. Not only is it much less expensive for us to keep payroll in house, we feel that we are able to provide our employees with better support this way," says Arruda. "It's a personalized level of service that an 800 number just can't deliver."
In addition to the Payroll module, Mease Manor uses the HR component of Sage Abra HRMS. "It helps us track all relevant employee data, including the certifications required by many of our staff. We were able to customize the software to record details specific to our business," explains Arruda.
"Dresser brings together resources to help us solve our business issues that arise."
Resources At The Ready
After many years of use of the software, Mease Manor found its database files had grown to an unwieldy size and turned to Dresser & Associates for advice. "We feel it is important to maintain several years of history, and the data files were growing to an unmanageable size," recalls Arruda. Dresser implemented a third party application that archives older data yet still keeps it accessible. "It is of huge value to us," adds Arruda. "For example, we can research new job applicants to see if they have worked for us in the past, and if so, if they are eligible for rehire. Dresser brings together resources to help us solve our business issues that arise."
Going Above and Beyond
Arruda says she is impressed by the level of service received from Dresser & Associates and cites consistent communications that come from the representatives at Dresser. "They go above and beyond for us–they check in, keep us informed of new products or features, and ask us if we need help with anything. I know this may sound like a small gesture, but it is significant to us and very much appreciated."
Mease Manor staff members enjoy attending the annual user conference that Dresser & Associates hosts and the local informational meetings hosted nearby. "We always come away with something we can use," Arruda says. "We think of Dresser as an extension of our office and have developed a deep confidence in their abilities.
